fun in the sun

Hello everyone. Today we enjoyed our (well deserved) day of rest. After sleeping in until a solid 8:30 we awoke to a wonderful breakfast from our cook Sonito. After relaxing a while we were able to attend the boy’s soccer game in Parramos (A small town about half a mile away). The afternoon was exciting and full of water games. The kids enjoyed throwing water balloons and playing drip drip drop (a game like duck duck goose with water). This water game quickly became a free for all and water was flying everywhere. As we are starting to realize the end of our wonderful trip is approaching, we look ahead to what we can still accomplish. With only two full days to go, we will attack every situation wholeheartedly.

Thanks for the prayers! We love you all!

Your friends and family in Guatemala

It is wonderful to hear that you are making the most of every opportunity!
so often we fix our eyes on the negatives around us and we miss what God might be trying to show us. I've heard nothing but blessing from all of you! God is good. I will be praying as your trip comes to a close:)

Hi Nicole,
It's been great to read the blog updates to know what the group is doing each day. It sounds like it's been a really good experience. We can't wait to hear your stories. All is well here. Kitty misses you terribly and has been pacing the house looking for you ever since you left. Dad is still in WI, but hopes to be home for the weekend. Your brothers are well and say "hey, Nicole!". It's just not the same without you here. We will certainly be a wreck a year from now when you head off to college! Love you! Mom

Hi Shelby!
We are all finally home from the cabin today. Steven and I got a flat tire on the way home. Thank God for AAA!
We miss you and love you and are eager to get you back home with us in a couple of days!
Steven thought it was weird coming home from the cabin and seeing that you weren't at home waiting for us. I think it's starting to sink in that his sister has really been gone all this time. Emily left for Church camp today but said she wants to see you as soon as she gets home. Amanda wants to see you sooner!
We are off to Stevens baseball game- will write more tomorrow now that I have an actual computer and am not on a lake!
Good luck and God Bless you all! Keep working hard and playing harder!
Love yards
Mo

Hey SMRZ!

You missed a great time at Paula's, riding in the 4th of July flotilla. Paula and Gramma decorated the pontoon boat and then we rode in a line past the cabins and waved to everyone; just like your junior queen days. It's hot and humid and raining a bit tonight. Hope you are staying cool. Looking forward to seeing you soon.

p.s. NO monkeys!

love dad and mom
